Bestwood Climate Garden

Bestwood Climate Garden is located behind the precinct at Beckhampton Rd in Bestwood. It is a multi zonal space with food growing, a drought garden, shade garden, pollinator pathway, wild flower meadow, and a huge climate change inspired mural by our friend Laura Decorum.

In 2024/5 NGP led a climate and nature project at nearby Pulp Friction, and this garden was inspired by that , to provoke discussion and response to climate change in the community.

A key early element of this project was the guerrilla adoption of long neglected planters in the shopping precinct which have inspired conversations about green spaces, a new found pride in the precinct and even the donation of plants from the community.
